We only use ethically sourced genuinely treated cow-hide leather. ALEO has a strict no-waste policy used throughout each stage of our processes. Sustainability guides the processes involved in every aspect our work.
Are your handbags made by hand or machine?
All ALEO products are predominantly handcrafted, with 85-90% of our manufacturing being done by hand.
How long does it take to produce a handbag?
From initial shaping and detailing to quality control, each bag takes 3-4 days to complete the process of offering the highest quality finish as possible.
Where are your handbags made in Ireland?
Our handbags are designed in both Ireland and Australia and manufactured in India by highly skilled artisans and craftspeople.
What are the sustainable and ethical practices you follow to make your handbags?
- All our materials are ethically sourced and use only the highest quality genuine leather. We minimise all logisitical process due to our single tannery access and slow-fashion ethos. We strictly adhere to relaxed manufacturing process that allows our artistans to craft each individal product to the highest attainable quality and finish. From our inception, we have incorported a no-waste policy in everything we do. All cuttings, scraps and unused leather is re-puropsed and goes into the next production stage.

Orders & Shipping
What is your shipping policy?
All ALEO orders are shipped from our warehouse in Ireland to your destination. Typically,the estimated delivery window provided by us reflects most standard deliveries, 3-5 business days. However, occasionally orders may be subject to longer transit time caused by freight delay, customs hold, or any other unforeseen complications outside of our control. You will receive an e-mail from us with all relevant information necessary to track your order, once it has been packed at our warehouse and is ready for shipping. At Markberg.com we want to give our customers the best possible terms for delivery. Orders for delivery within EU: Free delivery to parcelshops for orders above 150 EUR. Freight cost for orders below 150 EUR is 9 Euro. All orders for delivery outside of EU will be subject to 20-40 Euro delivery charge. Our goal is to always minimise these costs and they always reflect current global shipping rates and associated logistical processes.
What is your return policy?
It is recommend that you send your return package using a track and trace delivery system. This way ensures that the package has been received at our warehouse. Refund requests typically take 2-3 business days (Mon-Fri) for us to review. Once approved, please allow 7-10 days for domestic customers and up to 35 business days for international customers, for the refund to become available on your account due to a processing times between payment providers.
Do you offer a warranty and exchanges for faulty items?
- All of ALEO’s products come with a 12 month warranty, which overs manufacturing or material defects which may occur under normal use of the product. Our warranty does not cover water or hazardous material damage, malfunction or wear that is caused by improper maintenance, improper use or wear and tear. You can find information about leather care and how to keep your product in great condition on the leather care section found in our FAQ’s. If you find an defect, with your ALEO product, then please send us an e-mail to email@example.com. We ask that you attach pictures of the claim and the original receipt. When we have received the information needed about the claim, we will arrange a return if the claim has been accepted. We kindly ask that you always make sure that the product is returned in a suitable packaging. ALEO does not refund any shipping costs, if an agreement about it hasn’t been reached. What should I do, if the product is damaged, but I haven’t bought it on the ALEO website?
We are only able to handle such issues, if the product has been purchased through www.aleoeurope.com. If you have bought one if our products in a physical store or a different website, then please contact to the store in question. If your issue persists, we are always here to help and will do our best to resolve the matter.
